Approvals are on the roadmap
Approval flows do not exist in Dock yet. This page is clear about that.
Status
Approvals is not available today. There are no request forms, approval chains or audit trails in Dock right now. It is a planned feature, along with OKR.
What is planned
Request and approve
Staff submit a request, the right person approves or rejects it, and the result is recorded.
Built on forms
Approvals would use the Forms feature, which is itself on the roadmap.
Your own server
Records would stay in your own SQLite file.
What you can use today
A dedicated channel
Create an approvals channel where people post requests and managers reply.
Reactions as sign-off
Agree on an emoji for approved and one for rejected. This is informal, not an audit trail.
Search
Find any past decision later.
Questions
Is the chat workaround enough for compliance?
No. Chat reactions are not a controlled approval process. If you need a formal one, use a dedicated tool until Approvals ships.
