Video meetings inside the chat you already use
Start a call from any channel or DM. Share your screen, run a poll, lock the room with a passcode. Larger meetings use a LiveKit media server.

What you get
One click from any conversation
No link to paste. Start or join a meeting from the channel where the discussion already is.
Five layouts and the usual controls
Grid, speaker and spotlight views, participants panel, in-call chat, reactions, raise hand, device picker and mute states.
Screen share and Docs share
Share a screen or window, or put a Dock doc in front of everyone. On the Mac app, a guest can ask to control the shared screen, with consent.
Host controls
Co-hosts, a lobby, passcodes, polls and a countdown timer.
Scale when you need it
Small calls run peer to peer. For bigger rooms, connect a LiveKit media server and the meeting runs through it.
A usage meter, not a surprise bill
The app shows participant-minutes against the free allowance you configured, so you can see the limit coming.
Peer to peer or media server
| Peer to peer (mesh) | LiveKit media server | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Small calls, no extra service | Bigger rooms, steadier video |
| Cost | None | Free allowance, then pay as you go to your provider |
| Setup | Nothing | Add a LiveKit URL and key in the server settings |
Not built yet
Recording, live subtitles, breakout rooms, webinars, virtual backgrounds, whiteboard and phone dial-in. Meeting transcripts are in progress and, because they call a paid AI service, are planned for the paid tier.
Questions
How many people can join?
Peer to peer is comfortable for a handful of people. With a LiveKit server connected, the limit is set by that server and your plan with the provider.
Is there a Zoom alternative inside Dock?
For team meetings with chat next to them, yes. Zoom is stronger for webinars, recording and very large events.
