Who holds your data
Dock is software you run. If you self-host, you are in control of the data: messages, files, accounts and logs stay on your server. BobWork does not receive them.
If you use Managed, BobWork runs the server for you and acts on your instructions for that data.
What Dock stores
Account data
Name, username and a scrypt-hashed password.
Content
Messages, files and images you post, and import history.
Operational data
Basic server logs, which you control.
What BobWork collects
Self-hosted: nothing from your server through the software, unless you contact us or we add a feature and tell you. The marketing website may collect basic data. See the cookie policy.
If you email us, we keep the email to reply.
Your choices
You can export, copy or delete your data by managing your own SQLite file. For Managed, contact us to request access or deletion. Retention periods and sub-processors will be listed here before launch.
