Use Claude and Codex inside your team chat
Two ways to bring AI into your workspace: your own plan on your computer, or an API key on the server.

The short answer
Dock lets you chat with Claude or Codex in a private Dock chat in two ways. Plan mode uses your own Claude (Pro, Max or Team) or Codex plan through the Claude Code or Codex CLI on your computer, so usage counts against your plan, not a pay-per-use bill. API mode runs on the Dock server around the clock and is billed per use by the provider.
Plan or API key
| Plan mode | API mode | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs on | Your computer, with the CLI open | The Dock server |
| Billing | Your existing plan | Per use by the provider |
| Always on | Only while your computer is on | Yes |

Chat
Ask in a private chat; connect it to channels as you see fit.
Or connect any agent over MCP
If you prefer your own tool, create a personal token on Connect AI and add Dock's MCP server to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf or Gemini CLI. The agent can read channels, search messages and docs, and create tasks.
Where Dock fits
Dock is a self-hosted team workspace for small teams. It has channels and DMs with threads and search, video meetings in the same app (with recording, transcripts and AI summaries), real-time docs, tables, calendar, tasks and a drive. An MCP server lets AI agents such as Claude Code read and post in your channels, and there is a Lark history import.
It runs as one Node process with one SQLite file, so backups and moves are copying a file. There is no per-seat licence; your cost is your own server. You run the server yourself, and the integration list is smaller than the big hosted tools.
Questions
Do I need an API key?
No. Plan mode uses your subscription through the CLI.
Does my chat go to the provider?
What the agent reads is sent to that provider's model.
Can the agent post in channels?
Yes, with a token or bot that has access.
